TGA – Thermogravimetric Analyzer
It is Term-analytical technique in which the equipment detects the change in mass of the
sample while it is subjected to a program-controlled time and temperature.
The equipment operates in the range of temperature from room temperature up to 1000 oC, with heating and cooling rates from 0.1 to 200 °C / min.
Applications:
Determination of crystallization temperatures, melting, decomposition, thermal aging, determination of thermal class, moisture content, total solids and volatile. Decomposition points of explosives and solvent residues.
Furthermore, it is used to estimate the kinetics of oxidation corrosion at high temperatures.
