This equipment measures the penetration of the impression left in the material with a charge applied (Shore A and D hardness). It depends, in addition to the hardness, on the viscoelastic properties and the duration of the test.

Applications:

Hardness "A" – utilized on soft plastics.
Hardness "D" – utilized on hard plastics; their scale is from 0 to 100, in which greater values indicate harder materials.
