DSC – Differential Scanning Calorimetry
It is a Term analytical technique, which device corrects the difference in the energy flow between the sample and a reference, while are subjected to a controlled temperature program. The program can consist of dynamically heat or cool, or keep a constant temperature (isothermal).
The equipment operates in the temperature range of -150 to 600 °C, and heating and cooling rates of 1 to 100 °C / min.
Applications:
Study of phase transitions such as melting and crystallization transitions secondary phase (glass transition temperature, Tg), specific heat, polymorphism, OIT (Oxidative induction temperature), determination of the curing cycle and post-cure stage and identification of cure stages, in thermosetting rigid resin.
