The device measures changes in material properties as a function of time, temperature, frequency, strength and deformation. The deformation can be done in constant oscillatory cycles or a fixed rate. The samples used in the DMA may be solid, films, fibers, gels, viscous fluids, and the working temperature is between -150 °C and 600 oC.
